overview
The brief was to design a high end salon with a strong residential feel in the parlor floor of a townhouse built in 1900 in Murray Hill. We created two rooms; one light filled with strong colors influenced by the Missoni rug with matching crockery. The other room was more moody and masculine. Along the wall of the sweeping spiral staircase connecting the duplex local artist, Jerry Schwartz, painted a charming New York streetscape that gave this foyer area a sense of movement.
