Otto Brauer (1918-1968) was a Danish glass designer known for his work at the Holmegaard glass company from 1937 until his death. His designs, such as the iconic "Gulvvase" (floor vase), are celebrated for their modernist style, clean lines, and vibrant colors. In addition to his design work, Brauer was a respected educator, teaching at the Danish School of Decorative Art and mentoring future glass designers. His pieces are highly prized by collectors and are featured in major museums like the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Victoria and Albert Museum.
